What does the Bible say about a meaningful life?

Today’s question is powerful, profound, and beautiful.

What does the Bible say about a meaningful life?

Those of us who have walked paths in search of that answer, and found it, know how valuable it is.

I would like to share with you part of my life experience, some reflections, and thoughts about what it has been like for me to seek and find meaning in life.

To introduce the topic, I invite you to do a short reading:

(…) the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Where is the wise person?

Where is the teacher of the law?

Where is the philosopher of this age?

Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.

| 1 Corinthians‬ 1: 18, 20-21, 25‬ ‭

Finding meaning in life is a confusing process today, with so many opinions, distractions, and intoxicants.

However, I would like to propose to you the option that it is possible for the meaning of life to find you.

However, for the meaning of life to find you, you need to look for someone.

You need to seek God from the heart.

Some time ago, I wrote the lines that you will read below, and that will give you a look at what is my current experience of complete meaning in life.

I still remember the confusion and despair I felt in my heart when I tried to find you by the methods the world proposes.

When I thought you weren’t real.

When my heart rejected you even though you weren’t supposed to exist.

I still remember how lonely and how empty it is to be without you.

Darkness and hopelessness.

Thank you!

Because once you found me, I understood everything.

I understood how wrong I was.

I understood how wrong we all are to think that we already have the answers, if the answer has always been you.

There is no human wisdom capable of understanding or explaining the experience of those who love you.

The experience of those of us who owe everything to you.

Of those who feel your presence in our hearts constantly during the day and night.

Of those of us who hear your voice at every moment addressing us, rebuking us and advising us.

There is no science, there is no knowledge, there is nothing that compares or that can come close to defining what it means to walk with you.

Thank you for giving me a drink to never be thirsty again.

You satisfy me like nothing has ever done before.

Thank you because today I can say that I do not change you for anything or anyone.

Dear reader, it is not so much what I can tell you about the true meaning of life.

It’s what God can teach you.

He can lead you to experience it.

To find meaning in life, you need to find God for real.

The good news is that God is looking for you.

He is as close and as accessible as a prayer.

Open your heart to God, put aside the masks.

Let him see your wounds.

Tell him about your distrust, your fears, your hard times.

Ask him to show you his love, and bless you with his friendship.

I promise you that life will have another color and another perspective.
