Cómo recuperar la esperanza según la Biblia

How to regain hope | According to the Bible

Read Time:2 Minute, 57 Second

When I think of the word hope, it is inevitable for me to remember that phrase that says, “hope is the last thing ever lost.”

While this may be true, the truth is that people sometimes lose hope and need to regain it.

But how to restore hope?

Something so valuable and important for human life.

I would like to invite you to read a short verse from the Bible.

From it, I want to share my thoughts to answer that question:

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13

I would like us to reflect on the expression “the God of hope” in today’s verse.

The Bible describes God, not as someone who wants to intimidate us, but as someone who longs to fill our lives with hope.

To regain hope, it is crucial to think of God as the source of it.

Seeing him as He really is.

That loving and merciful father who wants the best for his children and who wants to help us in everything.

Regaining hope requires that we have a clear perspective.

The perspective that God wants to give us, as the book of the prophet Jeremiah says, “a future and a hope.”

But what is that hope that the Bible talks about?

The hope of redemption, of course.

That blessed hope includes many important things, including hope for a better world.

It also includes the hope that in the midst of pain, things have a higher meaning.

That God has not left the helm of our ship, and that He is good and in control.

The hope that our life is not an accident.

That even if our parents did not plan or desire us, God did think of us, loved us, and accepted us from before we were born.

The hope that, with God’s help, we can heal from the wounds of the past and look to the future with good expectations.

The hope that allows us to know ourselves as infinitely loved by God.

The hope that Jesus paid the price for our sin.

The price for our rebellion and our mistakes.

That now, thanks to that, we can draw near to God, receive his embrace, and find freedom and healing.

The starting point for regaining hope is to set your sights on Jesus, the God of hope.

Today’s verse declares to us that God wants to fill us with joy and peace.

To regain hope, look to heaven, observe the compassionate and loving gaze of your father who wants to give you new opportunities.

That father who wants you to be happy, in the only place where you can be happy, next to Him.

I hope these words are a blessing to your life.
