I Need God In My Life: How To Start Giving Your Life To God

I know that moment well.

The moment you know that something has to change, that things can’t go on like this.

The moment you decide to start from scratch.

I also know the moment when life takes such a course that suddenly you find yourself in a position where everything has to start again.

And how to start over?

How to do it by the hand of God?

Today being April 17, my 25th birthday, I have the opportunity to read these verses and reflect on their meaning for my life at this time of a new beginning.

I would like to share them with you because I know it will have a beautiful meaning in your life as well.

(…) a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough?

Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are.

For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

(…) let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

| 1 Corinthians‬ ‭5:6-8‬

Easter is a special occasion for Christians to remember the wonders of God and Jesus’ work for mankind.

Something like a moment of recapitulation, a moment of taking a breath and regaining strength.

For many, a moment of a new beginning.

The Apostle Paul invites those Christians from that special date to get rid of the old things in their character.

Things that are according to the flesh, so that instead of those flaws proliferating, they will be transformed to holiness in a new nature.

Every new day is indeed a new opportunity to start over.

Life goes around a lot, but it’s not about what life gives us.

It’s about what God wants to give us.

God wants to make you someone better.

God wants to give you eternal life.

God wants to do it today.

God wants today to give you the opportunity to receive his help to move forward on every step of the new path.

I don’t know if you think this day you read these lines is special to you.

For me, I’m sure it is.

I know this because the Lord declares it:

For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.”

I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.

| 2 Corinthians 6:2

Starting over is challenging because we don’t know what to do or how to do it.

We realize that we are weak and that there are things we cannot do.

That’s ok.

In fact, it is normal.

It’s the right thing to do.

When you walk with God, it will never be about what you can do.

It’s going to be about what God can do in you.

You just have to allow him and from then on depend on him.

Would you like God to help you start your life over with Him?

Tell the Lord with me today:

On this day I surrender to you.

I implore you to live in me, that I may die to self, and that my life may be a life entirely devoted to you and your work.

I love you Lord thank you for saving me and for loving me so much.

Thank you for all your care and precious blessings.

If you did, you just took the first step.

Now all that remains is to continue clinging to the hand of God and not to go back.
