Missional Living: How To Find God’s Mission For Your Life

I, too, have been through these very times.

Times when we want to determine what to dedicate our lives to.

When we want to enter a mission for our life.

I thank God that I was able to find mine, and I am convinced that the Bible has things to say to you about yours.

Let me begin to address this topic, starting from this aside from writing:

(…) through Jesus Christ we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations.

| Romanos‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭

In my opinion, there is one thing, among many others, to admire from the apostle Paul.

Unlike some of us, he did not expect others to do God’s work in his place or entertained himself in thinking about what others were doing, or what was the task of others and what was his own.

The apostle Paul had a very interesting characteristic.

Such a sense of responsibility that he could say that he had been given the “apostleship to lead all nations to obey the faith”

That was the mission of Paul’s life.

Lead all nations to obey faith.

A pretty ambitious goal.

A single man, subject to the spirit of God, had in his mind the goal that, if necessary, he alone would lead all nations to obey God.

To me, that just sounds incredible!

What a sense of responsibility!

Unfortunately, Paul’s dream didn’t come true in his lifetime.

Nowadays, much work still needs to be done.

How much need of God the whole world has.

Dear friend, the mission of your life is clear in the Bible.

What God longs for you, is that you live a life fully devoted to him and his purposes.

You and I were created by Him and for Him.

There is no greater joy in a person’s life than to live for something greater than himself.

What a blessing it would be to live your life with the perspective of eternity.

Live your life in order to be the light that God wants you to be, in a world of pain and darkness.

Whatever profession you choose, or whatever path you choose.

Make sure your mission isn’t money, fame, or the secular idea of happiness.

The real mission of your life is to share God’s grace and love with all the people on this planet, if necessary.

I’m sure you can figure out how to do that, your way.

Like Paul, don’t expect others to do it, go out too to share God’s love.
