Is faith a gift from God? What the Bible Says about Faith

Faith, that mysterious and wonderful thing that unites our hearts to God’s.

It helps us to keep going in the walk of life.

Faith keeps in us alive the hope.

The certainty that God is faithful and is in control.

It is normal for us as believers to go through stages in our lives where circumstances challenge our faith.

We experience circumstances that tell us that our faith needs to be strengthened.

To answer the question, how to strengthen my faith? I would like to share with you a short text from the Bible that can give us an important idea to achieving that.

(…) to him who is able to establish you in accordance with my gospel, the message I proclaim about Jesus Christ, (…) — to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.

Romans 16: 25 – 27

These two verses are part of a short doxology at the end of the letter to the Romans.

In them, the Apostle Paul lets us see something fundamental about our faith, that it is God who can strengthen us in the faith of his gospel.

When our faith weakens, we can get the idea that it is our responsibility to achieve a certain degree of faith, regain it, or strengthen it.

In my opinion, to some degree, this is true, because we could be allowing in our lives behaviors that negatively affect our relationship with God.

However, whatever the case or the cause for which our faith weakens, recognizing that it is God who can strengthen it is the most important step towards improvement.

To strengthen your faith, you need to look at the problem the right way.

Start at the right place.

Begin by understanding that we are a work in progress in the hands of a God of love who wants to make us, if we will allow him, a wonderful work of art.

When your faith weakens, and you need to strengthen it, look to God and ask him for help.

Don’t just set your sights on yourself and what you can do, claim his promises and He will take you through that stage of your life without allowing your foot to slip in a stumble.

Ask for help daily so that your faith is strengthened.

I hope these words are a blessing to your life.

A hug, God bless you.
