What Is God’s Will For Mankind: 2 Key Bible Ideas

Have you ever wondered What Is God’s Will For Mankind?

As I contemplate my social environment, I can’t help but notice the frequency with which God is misunderstood.

There seems to be a popular idea that God is a cold-blooded being, who is counting the days to finally fulfill a terrible plan to destroy humanity.

While it is true that the Bible teaches that there will be a day when every person will face the eternal consequences of his or her free choices, that is not God’s main will for mankind.

Today, I would like to share with you what I have found to be that will.

Bible verse about God’s Will For Mankind

To do so, I invite you to do a short Bible reading.

For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—

Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.

In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.

This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3:1 – 6

This text was written by the apostle Paul to the church of Ephesus, a church mainly integrated by non-Jews.

God’s will is good and for everyone

The message he wants to give them is that, although the Jews did not understand God’s Will For Mankind before, God had always had the best plans for this earth.

The Jews had thought that the call they had received from God to be their witnesses before the nations conferred on them a status of superiority over all other nations on earth.

They thought that because God had decided that they would be the means by which he would fulfill the promise of the birth of the Messiah, this gave them the monopoly of God and salvation.

They thought that only they had the right and access to God.

They thought that God only had an interest in them and that they were the only ones whom God loved on earth.

But what the apostle Paul is saying is that this was not true.

The mystery the apostle is talking about was that all the inhabitants of the earth were partakers of God’s promises to the people of Israel through Jesus.

That all the nations of the earth were co-heirs and had access to be part of God’s family.

God’s Will For Mankind is reconciliation with Him

This is what the apostle called a mystery.

It was God’s true will for mankind.

He calls it a mystery because it had not been properly understood before.

Now God was revealing it to fulfill His will for mankind.

God’s will for mankind is that we can all be reconciled to Him through Jesus.

He has left that choice to each one of us, his longing and desire are that “none will be lost, but that all of us should repent”.

What God wants is to help, redeem, restore, heal, deliver, reconcile.

That’s God’s Will For Mankind.

Conclusion

Even if no one knew it, and in the past, they had misunderstood it.

God has always had the best plans in mind for all mankind.

By understanding this, we can be certain that God has the best plans for us.

I hope these words have been a blessing to your life.
