Why Do I Exist? Why Were Humans Created In The Bible

Whatever the reason that brought you here, I’m glad you arrived.

I, too, have asked myself that question many times.

What were we created for?

Why do we exist?

Today, I would like to share with you a perspective to answer those questions.

Strange, unusual, and incredible as it may seem, we are here today.

When I think of the vastness of the universe and I look at our planet, there, floating in the midst of the infinity of space; I can only think how amazing this is.

How incredible it is that on this planet there is life and that there is “intelligent” life, like human beings.

Today, it doesn’t make much sense to me to think that we are here by chance; on the contrary, someone put us here.

Someone gave us this opportunity to exist.

The Bible says:

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

|John‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭

That someone who created us and gave us the opportunity to exist is called Jesus Christ, our God, our creator.

Through Him, we were created, not only us but all that exists.

But for what?

Why?

The answer is simpler than it seems.

We were created to be happy.

We were created to always be with God and enjoy Him and His blessing.

The entire universe was created because God wants to give new beings the opportunity to exist and experience happiness.

For this, all that exists praises God.

Unfortunately, we humans put ourselves in a predicament.

Soon after being created, we decided to take a different path than God’s proposed.

We believe we could be happy on our own, without Him.

In doing so, we have become further and further away from Him.

As a result of our obscure reasoning, we have lost the north.

We no longer look at the light because we love darkness.

We don’t walk by faith, we refuse to experience God’s love.

God, in His infinite love, did the unthinkable by giving himself to give the human race the opportunity to be truly happy again.

The light and life, true happiness, reason, and purpose for which we exist and were created are found in living in harmony with God in Jesus Christ.

I invite you to say to God with me:

God give me more of you.

I want to fulfill the purpose for which I was created.

It is my prayer today, that I may experience you in my being and in my life.

On a daily basis, give me the certainty that my life is yours, that I am not here by chance; that you have a purpose for my life.

Fulfill that purpose Lord, that I may put aside all weight and all sin and that I run with patience the race that I have ahead of me.

A race that takes me into your arms.

I love you Lord, but I want to love you so much more.

Help me O God to love you so much more.

I want to serve you much more, give me the opportunity to do so.

Continue preparing me.

Molding me, take me wherever you want to take me.

I implore you.

Amen.
