Prayer is undoubtedly the main tool to have a communication with our God, and the Bible is the book that most emphasizes the importance of prayer.
The Lord Jesus left us the clear example of the importance of prayer, throughout his life, having a direct communication with God, helped him to reflect and fulfill his ministry in the right way.
But after Jesus' accession to heaven, during all the writings of both the New and Old Testaments he mentions the importance and benefits of prayer.
Scriptures on Prayer
Don't worry about anything; rather, on every occasion, with prayer and supplication, present your petitions to God and thank Him. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
The Lord is telling you that we should not worry about anything, that he is in control of everything, that he listens to you and responds to every request you make, this is the best news we as children of God have.
God's goodness knows no bounds and He is telling you in His Scriptures about prayer that He will provide you with everything.
The Lord is close to those who call upon him,
of those who invoke Him in truth.
As we discussed in our previous posts, praying from the heart and believing that God hears you is the right way to get answers to our prayers.
In the book of psalms the Lord tells us, hey, I'm going to listen to you, but seek me from the heart and believing that I am going to answer you.
Faith is an essential part of prayer and the Christian life.
And as you pray, don't speak just for the sake of speaking as the Gentiles do, for they imagine that you will be heard by your many words.
The scriptures about prayer are a complete answer to the doubts that many times we can leave, when we pray to our Father it has to be a nascent prayer of the heart.
And the Lord does not expect a long prayer from you, but that you do it with desire or if it will cause you exhaustion, he values a short prayer, but sincere, he wants the time you dedicate to him to be from the heart and his communication to be like that of a friend.
So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace to help us when we need it most.
Prayer is a way to be under the mercy and arms of our God, the Lord is always ready to listen to us and give us his love.
But it is a personal decision that you must make, salvation encompasses everyone, but not everyone wants it.
That is why the importance of the scriptures on prayer to be able to understand that as children of God we can be saved by his grace and his love.
But you, when you start praying, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is in secret. Thus your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Prayer can be done both in public and in private, and both will be heard by God. But when your prayer is personal, always seek privacy and comfort.
This will help you talk to your friend in a confident and painless way to express your mistakes or confess your fears.
He will never judge you, in fact, he will fill you with strength to overcome difficulties, so the scriptures tell us about prayer, this is how we should perform them as children of God.
