How to Trust God’s Plan in 3 Biblical Steps

A few days ago, I didn’t know how to Trust God’s Plan in the midst of uncertainties.

As I watched my own faith falter in the face of the uncertainties of the future, I reflected on the reason for my ambivalence.

How could I regain my weakened trust in God?

How to trust God, and could I maintain that trust?

After praying about it, one of the answers on how to trust God came into my mind, and I’m going to share with you next.

Today, as I read the Bible, it is reiterated to me.

Bible verses on how to trust God’s plan

As usual, to address the subject, I invite you to read with me a small fragment of the scripture.

Then Moses said to the people, “Commemorate this day, the day you came out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery, because the Lord brought you out of it with a mighty hand.(…)

Exodus‬ ‭13:3‬

#1. Seek Truth in Scripture

In context, this bible text recounts what happened after the people of Israel were liberated from the land of Egypt.

God, who knows the human heart, knew that the Israelites, like you or me, were prone to forget.

For this reason, as soon as he delivered them from the land of Egypt, he instructed them to celebrate certain feasts and rites periodically.

The explanation for these was derived from the miraculous deeds that God had done for them in Egypt.

The goal of these feasts and rites was for them to remember that God was the one who had miraculously set them free, and that to his faithfulness and love they owed everything they enjoyed in the present.

#2. Remember God and Spend Time With Him

The key to how to trust God is in the word “Commemorate,” i.e., remember

If you feel like you have lost or are losing confidence in God, give yourself the opportunity to remember all the good he has done for you in the past.

Remember all the obvious ways in which his power and goodness have worked on your behalf, you will see that, just as the people of Israel, you owe everything you enjoy in the presence to God.

After you do so, your faith and confidence will be strengthened.

If you may feel, like me, that you need to strengthen your faith and your confidence so that they remain more constant.

I invite you to create an environment or habit that allows us to remember past blessings more often.

#3. Focus on God’s faithfulness

I have honestly never been one of those people who consider the past much, however, I think it is important in this part of our life to keep it in mind.

That will make us certain of God’s faithfulness and his constant care in our behalf.

One of the things I do, for example, is to write a small note and save it in my prayer book every time a prayer is answered.

I also thought that I could use photographs with explanations of the blessing they represent and place them in my environment.

Just a few ideas of how to trust God.
